Cancellation and Refunds Policy
How Quarterday trials, subscription cancellations, and refunds work.
Last updated: 27 August 2026
This policy applies to paid Quarterday subscriptions provided by Eigen Software Services Ltd, trading as quarterday.io ("Quarterday", "we", "us", or "our"). It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Trial
New accounts receive a 35-day trial. You do not need a payment card to start it, and it does not automatically convert to a paid subscription.
A valid payment card is required if you use bank sync during the trial. We do not bill you merely for adding a card, and doing so does not create a paid subscription.
If you subscribe during the trial, the trial continues until its original end date and your first payment is due at that point.
2. Cancellation
You may cancel a subscription at any time through your billing settings or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless we issue a refund that ends access earlier or terminate access under the Terms of Service, paid features remain available until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
Deleting your Quarterday account automatically cancels any active subscription and stops future renewals. Cancelling a subscription without deleting the account does not delete the account or its data.
Deleting your account ends access immediately. It does not entitle you to a refund for unused time unless this policy or applicable law says otherwise.
3. Cooling-off
You may cancel and request a full refund during a cooling-off period. Each cooling-off period lasts 14 days and begins either when your first paid subscription charge is made or when an annual subscription renews. These rights apply regardless of where you live.
To use this right, send us a clear statement that you want to cancel before the cooling-off period ends. You may use the model cancellation form below, but you do not have to. When we issue a full refund under this section, paid access ends when the cancellation is processed.
The law where you live may give you additional cooling-off or cancellation rights. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
4. Refunds
Monthly and annual payments are not refundable merely because you stop using Quarterday or cancel part-way through a billing period. We provide refunds in the following circumstances:
- you cancel within one of the cooling-off periods described above;
- we take a duplicate or incorrect payment;
- we discontinue or terminate prepaid service when you are not at fault;
- applicable law or another express promise from Quarterday requires a refund.
Where a refund is proportionate, we calculate it for the unused part of the billing period. Your statutory rights and remedies for a service that is not provided with reasonable care and skill are not affected.
5. Changes and discontinuation
A material adverse change is one that significantly reduces a paid feature included in your plan or significantly increases your obligations during a period you have already paid for. If we make such a change, you may reject it before it takes effect, cancel the subscription, and receive a proportionate refund for the unused part of that period.
Price changes take effect on a later renewal after notice and do not change a period you have already paid for.
If Quarterday is discontinued, we will give at least 60 days' advance notice. If the service ends before the end of a period you have already paid for, we will refund the unused part of that period.
6. Account and data
Ending a trial or subscription does not delete your account or hosted data. You can still export your data, and we retain it until you delete your account or the inactivity rule below applies.
We may delete an account that has no active paid or plan-member access and has not been used for more than 12 months. We will email you at least 60 days before deletion and give you an opportunity to sign in or export your data.
When you delete your account, we delete account information and hosted data as described in our Privacy Policy. Information may remain in encrypted disaster-recovery backups for up to 90 days.
If we terminate your account for breach, access to export and deletion of hosted data are handled under the Termination section of our Terms of Service.
7. Requests
The simplest way to cancel is through your billing settings. You can also email support@quarterday.io from your account email address and say that you want to cancel. You do not need to give a reason or use a form.
If you are requesting a refund, include the payment date and enough information for us to identify the subscription.
We return approved refunds to the original payment method without a refund fee. Cooling-off refunds are issued within 14 days after we receive your cancellation request. Other refunds are issued within 14 days after approval. Your bank or card provider may take additional time to show the payment.
8. Model cancellation form
UK consumer law provides this optional form. You do not need to use it; cancelling through your billing settings or sending us any clear cancellation request is sufficient.
